Established in 1949, UQU now offers Bachelor's degrees in Applied Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Engineering & Islamic Architecture, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, Education, and Social Sciences, as well as Master's and Ph.D. degrees in specific fields. The language of instruction for the positions below is English, and applicants are expected to be fully conversant in the English language. One-year renewable contracts shall be offered. The Preparatory Year Program in the College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture at Umm Al Qura University invites males holding a Master's Degree to apply to the following positions:

·Ten (10) teaching positions in the area of Mathematics - Job#PYM01
·Ten (10) teaching positions in Information Systems/Computer Science - Job#PYI01
·Ten (10) teaching positions in the area of Physics - Job#PYP01

General: The positions are for the academic year 2010-2011 (starting September 2010). Candidates for the above positions should possess a Master's degree in the appropriate domain (Mathematics, Information Systems/Computer Science, Physics). Teaching experience relevant to the positions will be looked at favorably. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The successful candidates are expected to teach courses in the recently restructured Preparatory Year Program (PYP) for scientific and engineering majors at UQU, and to participate in development of the PYP.
